Tricyrtis Formosana ‘Autumn Glow’ Toad Lily

Tricyrtis formosana ‘Autumn Glow’ has long, upright arching stems of green ovate leaves with wide yellow margins. In mid-late summer purple-red spotted, creamy, triangular, orchid-like blooms appear at the stem apex. With exceptionally wide margins, Tricyrtis ‘Autumn Glow’ is particularly attractive even when not in bloom.

Although Tricyrtis is one of the best perennials for deep shade, ‘Autumn Glow’ will perform best in partial rather than full shade. Plant it near a pathway where it gets some bright light and passersby can enjoy its delightful blooms.

Tricyrtis formosana ‘Autumn Glow’ prefers partial shade and humus-rich, consistently moist soil for best appearance. If soil gets too dry, leaf edges will burn.
