Hypericum ‘Brigadoon’ St. John’s Wort

Hypericum calycinum ‘Brigadoon’ has electric yellow-green, elongate oval leaves that will brighten up any garden. Although considered a perennial, Hypericum calycinum ‘Brigadoon’ forms semi-woody plants that spread via rhizomes. Also known as St. John’s Wort, its 2″ gold flowers with showy stamens bloom in early to midsummer. ‘Brigadoon’s foliage is coral to orange in fall and winter color.

Hypericum calycinum ‘Brigadoon’ prefers moist, well-drained soil but will tolerate drier conditions, once established. It can handle coastal conditions, drought, and clay soil.
