Hosta ‘Munchkin Fire’ Plantain Lily

Miniature Hosta ‘Munchkin Fire’ emerges with bright yellow green to gold, narrow, elongate leaves that stand almost upright. ‘Munchkin Fire’ is a vigorous Plantain Lily that holds its color all season and is topped by lavender blooms on 20″ scapes in midsummer. Hosta ‘Munchkin Fire’ prefers partial to full shade and moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil. Hosta will grow in ordinary garden soil and withstand drought, but they are most beautiful when provided consistent moisture. They will tolerate clay soil and can be grown under black walnut trees.
